Let's stand out

Melbourne's weather is a weird kid. It can be super freezing and gloomy and raining dogs and cats the other day, and all of the sudden become the happiest and cutest princess ever. Funnily that in the weekdays (aka school days, also mean not-so-fun days), it just seems like Ms. Weather also wanna scream "I won't get out of bed" with her grey-ish clouds; and voila, bam, Saturday and it was sunny and birds were chirping and cool wind was blowing. You are such a college student, Weather!

But today was one of her good day and I went to Lost and Found Market. It is a vintage market on Lygon Street. We all know what vintage is, it is that cool hippie effect that makes things look kinda old and artsy. But no, go to a real vintage market like LnF, and you will know Vintage is much more than a cool effect (it still is though) but a step back through time, culture and everything like that. 

But oh well, let's not rambling about it further and jump to our *fashion* part, here is a wonderful lady I saw there: 

 Arggg I know Kimono is the trend now but I have never actually seen someone in real life wearing it (considering it is such a *bam, in your face* piece, let's not be surprise). And this lady just make it so gorgeous and chic. The kimono has such bold and bright color on it, making her really stand out. She paired it with a pair of big round sunglasses, an owl handbag and tone it down with black sandals. The whole outfit brings such a vintage and fabulous vibe to it. So, considering Kimono to be your next statement piece?

And then we went to Melbourne University for a walk and I saw this guy. Needless to say, I was eager to take a photo of his blue, bright onesie. Isn't it fun? That's one thing I feel so strong about Melbourne, people will have fun and don't care about what others might think. You can see the craziest pink hair ever on an old lady or guy in drag queen costume on the street. No big deal, they are having fun!

Back to School

Hi we are back (again)! Our semester has just begun for a week and it actually feels good sitting in class, listening to lecturers and meeting friends again after a whole month enjoying the semester break and Tet. So I thought we could do posts about "Back to school" outfits 'cause people tend to be a little bit dressed up in their first week back to school yeah? Still the outfits should be casual and comfortable enough to, you know, have fun with school not worrying about too tight or too flashy clothing :)

And we did found a perfect example for that! I like how he keep everything casual but still have his own way to spice things up. The fun T-shirt (sorry I forgot the name of the show, The Puppet show?) and red belt bring such a fresh, young vibe to the whole outfit. Good job *thumbs up* !

Long - Student

Everyone knows that military is still in the trend yeah? In my opinion even when it is "out of fashion", military is still a perfect choice, especially for boys. It makes guys look more masculine, strong and cool (I know I use the term "cool" too much, sorry for my lack of vocabulary...)!

It's pretty much simple. You put on the warm thick coat, pair of black jeans and leather boots, and voila! Long also put on a simple bracelet, which compliments the outfit very well =) So guys, go military!

We are backkk

Duong - Second year student

So yessss we are back now guys, after almost 3 months of hiatus... Sorry but exams and assignments were killing us for the longest time ever, but finally sem break is here a.k.a back to blogging! So Pon and I start grabbing our cameras and hunting on the street again yayy.

I like how "clean" and neat Duong's outfit look, each layers compliment the next layer very well, completed with jeans and a pair of very cool black leather shoes. Not too casual, not too formal, really easy and effective mix in this kind of chilly weather in Hanoi. And hell yeah he looks cool!

Btw along with our "come back", I also want to want to improve the blog a little. As in streetstyle photos like this, do you want detail about the outfit. Like, those shoes were bought from Charlott Shop, that shirt was from H&M etc. Personally I don't really remember where I bought my clothes, and almost all of mine are unbranded so I don't find it neccessary to do so. But I guess others are different, and with those detail you can find the similar item if you saw and like them in our photos. So yeah? Do you want it? Please leave a comment below and tell us!

Oh and second thing, anyone want us to write in both English and Vietnamese? It would be easier to follow I think :D

Cozy breezy

Sorry for the lack of post lately. I have been meaning to do a biggg post about Fall Inspiration and Halloween outfits, but that's for tomorrow (It's Halloween guysss , are you excited?). And so this is some outfits left from our shoot last week

 Pon - 20 - Student

Her outfit was simple: blue polo shirt, beige jeans. But I really like the detail on her belt! How many people here put thoughts in belt? I only have one belt and have never thought of investing on it. This really did change my mind. And the color matchs the brown, warm tone of her bag, jeans and sandals. So guys, more tips on boring, simple outfit: add something interesting, like belt!

Tung - 24

We met this guy when we were doing some window shopping at some shops around the Church. He was the shopkeeper there I guess (I have forgotten the name of the shop though :( It's Midori something I guess..). He was wearing, as you can see, a striped shirt, blue vest and jeans, very simple, comfortable and preppy. But the interesting part was his shoes, they are hand-made by leather (like all other shoes in the shop)! So the quality is great and the fact that they are "hand-made" just make it much more special =)

End of today's post, just some easy breezy outfit for your casual fall season (YES I'm enjoying fall here in Hanoi woo hoo). Prepare for the Halloween post though hehe

See through

When I first started this blog, a question struck me: "What is the criteria? What am I actually looking for?". And this is my answer for you all: I don't seek for pretty clothes or pretty faces, I am looking for personalities which are shown fearlessly through personal style.  For me, those who have the strength to be who they are, are the strongest of all.

The guy above is one of those strong ones. Well, who else dare to wear a see through top like that? I bet that he had received a few weird glances from passengers. But nah, why dress for others when you live your own life? The mix is strange (in a good way~), I feel like each item has its own talk, none is weaker than the other. And they were combined with each other, and became a very fierce outfit :-)

Duong - 15 - Student

So yeah we finally had a chance to meet each other and went out for shooting~ And as expected in Mid-Autumn Festival, there were lots and lots of people in the street, in the mall, in cinema etc.. However it's not that easy to find real stylish kids. But since we are professional hunters (who still have to walk like 5 rounds to gain courage to ask someone for photos), we still did teehee *proud*.

Here is one of them. When he said he was 15 years old, me and Pon exchanged secret thought "Oh kids these day are so cool, we must be really old..." Just look at the boy! He wore sort of casual yet elegant outfit with beige shirt, black blazer, brown satchel and clock. But then BAM, those spikey shoes made the outfit stand out from the rest. It's like adding the most important ingredient to the mix, and make it real awesome!

So yesterday after walking around we took at rest at Boo&Kusa to try out some Crepe~ You will pick 4 ingredients for your own crepe and they will put it in for you. Except for the fact that the staff seemed to be quite slow in making crepes, and there was no wind in the air (damn you weatherrrr); it's really good: the crepes are pretty good, the store is really cute and you can watch the road from the second floor :D

Hoang - Student - 19

Fashion week begins! I have been jumping up and down and drooling over every photos updating about the stylish atmosphere in New York, especially streetstyle. Oh I wish I could be there, just standing and breathing would be satisfying enough..

Yeah but you know, fashion is everywhere around you, and I'm sure that I can find my own little streetstyle world right here :-) Like this guy from our university. The mix seems simple: stripes T shirt, deep blue jeans, combat boots... Yet the red- blue snapback pulled off a fun and exciting effect on the overall outfit. And I really like those rolls of his jeans, the different shades of blue match perfectly with the deep brown color of those boots (The boots are really nice too! Such clean shape ~)

Duc Anh - Student - 18

I have seen a lot of corlorful pants on girls, but boys wearing ones are quite rare. Yet we met this boy at school and immediately knew that we had to photograph him. The whole outfit looks so comfortable and effortless, but still fun and interesting with the bright color of those pants. I always have a thing for stripes and denim; so the mix, as you can see here: stripe tank top, denim shirts, deep brown bag and baggy pink shorts; is just great to look at :)

Fall is coming near, with its lovely breeze and clear sky, yet Hanoi's summer is still around actually. And in one of the fall-but-still-hot-as-hell days like that, we met this cool guy, more "summery" than ever. DIY top (I didn't ask, but I assumed that it's a DIY product, look at the cut!) and deep red shorts, that's it! Too simple you may say, but come on, who would wear layers under the heat of Hanoi? And I really like his top: Johnny Depp and bold, big cut. For me it's refreshing and full of youth~ What do you think? :)

ripped jeans

Hiếu - Student - 20

Ripped jeans are definitely not dead! Actually I think they are coming back quite strong this year since the grunge/ rock style with studs and shredded, ripped clothes is becoming the trend. Anyway let's talk about this cool outfit, shall we? He pulled off a basic white T shirt with grey ripped jeans, making the "cool effect" on the overall outfit (Don't you think guys look best in simple style like this?). Not to mention the necklace, the watch, the ring and the headphones - a combination of "simple yet effective"-ness. Those blue kicks also made an important role here, adding some color to the grey-white tone. Only three words are needed: simple, cool and strong ~
