Not a Back-to-School Post

School is just around the corner for some of you guys and it’s just about time to head back to classes..but it's different in my uni. it's almost exam weeks and still there are many assignments need to be done. so I will not expect to see me or anybody make effort to dress up these days. I can find myself struggle to find something decent to wear and literally throw anything on. Now it's all about comfy clothes.

This girl just paired funky shorts with a basic white t-shirt (essential top for any girls i must say). I really like basic pieces because accessories can help you dress it up. Linh worn a pair of shoes which matchs her green shorts and makes her standout. I love the way she makes the whole outfit more interesting while still being casual.

       So that's all for today, I can't wait to see more layered looks in our Autumn post.

Retro baby

Open Day is the big chance for people to get to know the school and blend in the college atmosphere. I was the volunteer at RMIT Open Day today and the job seriously did kill my foot, but it was fun seeing so many young people and their families going around the campus with loads of cool activities. There are a lot of people that you will just need to look and your instinct will tell that they are the You-Need-To-Take-Their-Photo kind of person. Too bad I was so busy being a volunteer all morning and became totally exhausted after that so could only snap a couple of cool kids.

 I saw her and I immediately following her around trying to capture a good photo (does that sound creepy?). Damn I was too shy to ask for a full outfit photo but finally manage to catch a good part of it. She was wearing a colorful turban matching with her blue hair in some way that just make it look so perfect. Round sunglasses, red lipstick and black platform, going retro is the way baby.

Overalls, yes we are talking about overalls, super baggy overalls. Baggy things usually make you look like swimming in your clothes and incredibly un-cool. And overalls is one of those vintage trend coming back this year that is hard to wear without looking like a farmer. But this girl pull it off with bright crop top, black sneakers and a cap, and looking so effortlessly cool and comfortable. Wanna try this trend yet?

Back to School

Hi we are back (again)! Our semester has just begun for a week and it actually feels good sitting in class, listening to lecturers and meeting friends again after a whole month enjoying the semester break and Tet. So I thought we could do posts about "Back to school" outfits 'cause people tend to be a little bit dressed up in their first week back to school yeah? Still the outfits should be casual and comfortable enough to, you know, have fun with school not worrying about too tight or too flashy clothing :)

And we did found a perfect example for that! I like how he keep everything casual but still have his own way to spice things up. The fun T-shirt (sorry I forgot the name of the show, The Puppet show?) and red belt bring such a fresh, young vibe to the whole outfit. Good job *thumbs up* !

Seul Ah - 26 - Student

How was your weekend everyone? :) Sorry we haven't been around as much as we should. I couldn't even meet up with Pon since our schedule clashed with each other every now and then. And mid-term is already here.. Oh well, as a semester 3 student, I shouldn't be this surprise about our Exam Schedule, but I still am..

So I found it very lucky to find this lady at school when I brought my camera AND Pon was with me as well.  We were just accidentally meet each other near the library, and then one second later we saw her passing by and yeah the ritual began haha. I like how easy-going and comfortable the outfit was, with a splash of colorful paisley-pattern of her scarf (I.love.paisleyyy) spiced up the whole thing ~ And those brown shoes are too cute!

Hoang - Student - 19

Fashion week begins! I have been jumping up and down and drooling over every photos updating about the stylish atmosphere in New York, especially streetstyle. Oh I wish I could be there, just standing and breathing would be satisfying enough..

Yeah but you know, fashion is everywhere around you, and I'm sure that I can find my own little streetstyle world right here :-) Like this guy from our university. The mix seems simple: stripes T shirt, deep blue jeans, combat boots... Yet the red- blue snapback pulled off a fun and exciting effect on the overall outfit. And I really like those rolls of his jeans, the different shades of blue match perfectly with the deep brown color of those boots (The boots are really nice too! Such clean shape ~)

Phuong Anh - Student - 17

It was raining in Hanoi, so despite of all those ugly things about raining (you know, boring gloomy sky, wet roads...), we have the perfect Hanoi's autumn: cool, lovely, gentle (how can the weather be gentle? I don't know, I just.. feel it). Ah ~ so the invasion of cardigan, light scarf, light coat and especially layer-style is coming. I'm excited ~ What about you?

Yeah but before that, can we just appreciate this awesome outfit from Phuong Anh? It's hard to dress well at school. It's maybe just me, but I always have a hard time trying to decide what to wear in the morning, when time is extremely limited (Oh early classes, I hate you). So people rarely wear something a little bit different here. And there was this girl, red mullet dress, nice gold necklace and lovely hair. Those cut outs are an intersting touch too <3 I love seeing people who make an effort to dress well :-)

Duc Anh - Student - 18

I have seen a lot of corlorful pants on girls, but boys wearing ones are quite rare. Yet we met this boy at school and immediately knew that we had to photograph him. The whole outfit looks so comfortable and effortless, but still fun and interesting with the bright color of those pants. I always have a thing for stripes and denim; so the mix, as you can see here: stripe tank top, denim shirts, deep brown bag and baggy pink shorts; is just great to look at :)

Fall is coming near, with its lovely breeze and clear sky, yet Hanoi's summer is still around actually. And in one of the fall-but-still-hot-as-hell days like that, we met this cool guy, more "summery" than ever. DIY top (I didn't ask, but I assumed that it's a DIY product, look at the cut!) and deep red shorts, that's it! Too simple you may say, but come on, who would wear layers under the heat of Hanoi? And I really like his top: Johnny Depp and bold, big cut. For me it's refreshing and full of youth~ What do you think? :)

ripped jeans

Ripped jeans are definitely not dead! Actually I think they are coming back quite strong this year since the grunge/ rock style with studs and shredded, ripped clothes is becoming the trend. Anyway let's talk about this cool outfit, shall we? He pulled off a basic white T shirt with grey ripped jeans, making the "cool effect" on the overall outfit (Don't you think guys look best in simple style like this?). Not to mention the necklace, the watch, the ring and the headphones - a combination of "simple yet effective"-ness. Those blue kicks also made an important role here, adding some color to the grey-white tone. Only three words are needed: simple, cool and strong ~

pretty in pink

What do you think about pink? Pink is all about feminine and girly and this girl is a sweet example of it. Look at how effortless the top is tucked slightly in her mini jupe! I like her necklace, which adds an interesting effect on the whole outfit, yet blends well with the tone color of pink and gold. Pon loves her shoes, with the cute tiny bows and its "thing" (sometimes you will run out of word to tell something by name, but you understand me, right?..).

She was the first one who let us photograph, and she smiled and laughed a lot and made it so easy for us, who were both so shy and nervous about our first shoot. Thank you very much, Ly :) Hope we can see more great outfit from you.
