Roarrrr

Pon - 20 - Student

Here comes our girl :) This was Pon the last time I saw her (dear, we need a meeting, soon!). It was kinda chilly at that time and we were all so excited about the up-coming winter. But no, the weather cheats us all, it's getting hotter and hotter each day..

Pon was wearing all denim and spikey and had a rock&roll feeling all over it. I just really love the oversized denim jacket of her, the studs are on the sleeves, which is totally different from all of those studded-collar or studded-shoulder that people wear a lot nowadays. I have never been a fan of leopard print to be honest, for me it's "too much". But i like how the pattern is distributed quite randomly but not like stuck at one place or spread all over the outfit :) So hi, let's make friends sometimes leopard print.

That's for now, I need to get back to the never-endling workload..

Paisley paisley

Seul Ah - 26 - Student

How was your weekend everyone? :) Sorry we haven't been around as much as we should. I couldn't even meet up with Pon since our schedule clashed with each other every now and then. And mid-term is already here.. Oh well, as a semester 3 student, I shouldn't be this surprise about our Exam Schedule, but I still am..

So I found it very lucky to find this lady at school when I brought my camera AND Pon was with me as well.  We were just accidentally meet each other near the library, and then one second later we saw her passing by and yeah the ritual began haha. I like how easy-going and comfortable the outfit was, with a splash of colorful paisley-pattern of her scarf (I.love.paisleyyy) spiced up the whole thing ~ And those brown shoes are too cute!

That's for now. Have a good week people!

Me, my, mo

Hi lovelies,

I have never fond of posting and writing about myself on the blog. Therefore I kept postpone those post and stored quite a lot of pictures of me in my laptop. And somehow it comes to the point that I will have to write a post entirely about me, with all the photos left from our photoshoot... Running out of streetstyle photos is definitely not a pleasent thing :( So, eh, bear with me guys..

It's weird how I keep writing about how your personal style will portray your personality, but I really can't define my own style. It has something to do with my mixed characteristics and constant swing mood. Sometimes I want to wear grunge, sometimes french, sometimes preppy.. I got inspired from various source too, mostly music, movies, streetstyle blogs all over the world, comics etc. However overall in my outfits I always want to keep it balance: not too heavy, not too light, not too girly, not too strong (Can you just guess what horoscope I am? Obviously a Libra - the "I need balance in everything" kind of kids!). Ok enough words, here comes awkward photos:

Pretty much casual outfit when we were going out last week. I just want to be as quick as possible since I overslept that day.. So yeah, oxford, ripped jeggings and collar-t shirt would do :)

My outfit at ClubDay. I wore a velvet red dress from Mango. And since girly is never my type, I tried to "man up" (is that even appropriate to use as a girl?) by wearing a striped shirt over it. Those pretty friendship bracelets are gift from my friend, and somehow coincidentally it matched my colorful benie (I'm obsessed with hats and benie now guys..)

Some latest purchase! It's fall now, meaning time for cardigan! So I wore my grandma-like-cardigan, with my My Chemical Romance T shirt (best.band.ever!) and black skinnies. Wearing a rock T-shirt will never completed without some studded leather bracelets, so I wore them too. And ta-dah, here comes my new favourite purchase: the floral laptop case! It's soooo pretty and soft and colorful and just light up everything around it. I even got a discount since I bought it in the Halloween party (remember it? Night of Living Dead) so yeah, extra happiness :D

End of the I-need-to-improve-my-pose post, see ya later x

Night of living dead

As promised, here comes the Halloween post! Halloween in Vietnam is kinda different from other countries I guess, since it's not our traditional holiday. We don't do trick or treat and not everyone dress up as other characters. It's more like a fun, creepy day for us to dress a little bit more Goth and Grunge and Black. You can see it very clear through our photos :D Those are photos we took when we went to a Halloween  party last weekend called "The Night of Living Dead". And on Sunday I went to The Garden Mall and saw many people cosplay-ing and dressing like zombie and such, too bad I didn't bring my camera that day :( It was really cool walking around the mall and saw Naruto or any other anime character with fantastic clothes walking to you, buying bread and all haha.

I also have a Fall Inspiration post in the draft, haven't finished it yet though :( Will try to post it asap! In the mean time, enjoy some of our Vietnamese Halloween!

Cozy breezy

Sorry for the lack of post lately. I have been meaning to do a biggg post about Fall Inspiration and Halloween outfits, but that's for tomorrow (It's Halloween guysss , are you excited?). And so this is some outfits left from our shoot last week

 Pon - 20 - Student

Her outfit was simple: blue polo shirt, beige jeans. But I really like the detail on her belt! How many people here put thoughts in belt? I only have one belt and have never thought of investing on it. This really did change my mind. And the color matchs the brown, warm tone of her bag, jeans and sandals. So guys, more tips on boring, simple outfit: add something interesting, like belt!

Tung - 24

We met this guy when we were doing some window shopping at some shops around the Church. He was the shopkeeper there I guess (I have forgotten the name of the shop though :( It's Midori something I guess..). He was wearing, as you can see, a striped shirt, blue vest and jeans, very simple, comfortable and preppy. But the interesting part was his shoes, they are hand-made by leather (like all other shoes in the shop)! So the quality is great and the fact that they are "hand-made" just make it much more special =)

End of today's post, just some easy breezy outfit for your casual fall season (YES I'm enjoying fall here in Hanoi woo hoo). Prepare for the Halloween post though hehe

Cobalt Love

Nhi - 16

Blue cobalt is the new black! I have always love how fresh, classic and ocean-like that tone of blue is. Nhi pull out a very classic outfit with the blue cobalt dress as the main piece. It's not photographed in here, but there are studded around the neck-line of the dress to give a more modern, edgy look. She mixed the dress very well with a small classic Louis Vuitton bag and black platform. So chic!

Well this aside, we will have a "Club Day" at our university this evening and there will be free food so I'm excited lol. And me and Pon will both go to a Halloween party held by our school's culture club this Sat so it's gonna be cool and full of weird fashion and we will bring back something cool for you hehe. See you later!

Button Button

Mick - 16

I will just go straight to talk about the outfit because mannnn, this was my favourite OOTD woo hoo ~ It's all about the detail guys! Well at first glance, I must admit that the outfit seems quite simple and plain with blue shirt with blue jeans. We first noticed Mick because of her colorful tribal pattern slipper shoes. But then when she stood up we were so amazed by the unique button-line. I don't know whether it's DIY or not, but it's really interesting and stand out. Definitely an DIY inspiration :)

Similar and Different

Dung - 19

Nguyên - 23

So as I have said on our Facebook, Pon and I spent the whole yesterday afternoon hunting for style ~ It was Vietnamese Women's day, so every places were packed with flowers, couples and extra-feminine-girls (you know, in days like this, girls will dress up to emphasize their girly, softer sides). It's like everyone around you was wearing pretty dresses. It's not that I don't like dresses, but well, how can I put it.. like seeing many stuff of the same kind at once, and you will feel like nothing is special anymore (does it even make sense?..)

Therefore I was kinda thrilled when I see those girls above, dressing all tomboy and cool! And can you see the coincidence here? They both wore layers with the same checkered shirts/ blazer! I didn't notice this until I came home and looked through the photos. One same piece, but they managed to pull off different vibes. See, I told you style present personality very well :)

Let's go in detail about the clothes. Dung wore a graphic shirt, checkered blazer and pretty cool jeans with Vans. It's really simple and easy but it works! I like how it was not too casual by adding blazer, but also ultra comfortable with Vans and simple jeans. Also a little bit fun with the T-shirts (she was like: "What about my T-shirt? It's a Super Junior T-shirt! Can you photograph it?" Haha cute)

Nguyen pulled off a more dramatic look with her red (?) skinny jeans (with a peek of leopard pattern) and black boots. She kept it balance with simple top and a small packback. I always like it when the outfit was balance (not too loud, not too simple etc..) ~ But maybe sometimes I will break the rules and do something "more is more" like the legendary Anna Piaggi (no it's not a joke, she really was a legend)

Anw the weather is lovely today! Good day people ~

The wind is calling

Ly - 20 - Student

Sorry I have been quite lazy lately :( Just come back from my first day of the new semester, everything was nice and fresh ~ The first day of the semester is the chance to catch up with friends, get excited (or not) about new courses, new lectures... And you can have new stuff hehe: books, notebooks, pens etc (university students still love shopping for new learning supplies you know..) I got to chat with some old and new friends, got a present (are you reading this? thankssss i love it!) and then had a meeting with my club. It was a bit tiring, but still really great :)

Time for outfit! Pon and I were supposed to meet and have a photoshoot last week, but I couldn't make it and now we are running out of new photos :( This was from Pon's photo trip (the same with last post). She was wearing an oversize shirt, tucked in the trending-studded-shorts; which created a contrast effect: flowy, soft on top (with the girly touch of that headband) and tough, funky with the lower part. Really cute eh?

Have a nice week y'all

Miss Complicated

Van - 22 - Student

Hi all ~

This week has gone in a blink and we will start the semester next week. Gosh I'm not ready to come back that soon :(

Anw this is today's outfit. Seems like Pon had a mini photo trip and brought back some really interesting style for me. Like this girl above. She was wearing a long black dress (or may I call it maxi dress?) with huge text-print on the front, sleeveless denim jacket, cap with matching colour, and Dr.Marten boots. I always like how girls these days don't really belong to any specific "type", you know, like you have to be only girly OR tough OR grunge etc. We girls refuse to be defined simply like that (feminism is calling)! Like in the mix above, she can be sporty, girly, cute and tough at the same time, how cool is that? =)

Lovely weekend people x

Friendship bracelets

Thuy - 23 - "I love SA" owner

I was not that surprise when Thuy told us she was the owner of "I love SA" (a quite popular shop in Hanoi). I mean, yeah look at her, with cool style like that, she's definitely something! Her checkered shirt matched really well with those shorts: the colour and the pattern blend well with each other. Yet my most favourite thing about her outfit was those stack of bracelets around her ankle. Personally I really really love friendship bracelets like those, they are always so colorful and cute, and it's never hurt to add moreeee! And you can make it yourself too (well not for someone as clumsy as me...), so they are really cheap :')

Anw, Halloween is coming soon! We don't really celebrate Halloween in Vietnam though. But maybe some clubs in our university will do something, a party, or well, anything! Or even if they don't, I will wear something and freak everyone out haha. What are you going to where in Halloween?

Mullet obsession

Hey guys.. Guess who.. It's Pon sharing the first piece of writing...yay......

When we first started the blog, we divided the work into 2 parts, me photopraphing and editing while Khoai is in charge of our blog (writing and posting).. ok letting her do all the writing work makes me feel so guilty (it is because I'm not at writing..not as good as Khoai :)). That’s my excuse anyway for not participating on writing anything.lol
so..hello this is me being a good girl.. enjoy XO

Lan Anh - 18 - Student

Here I present to you a girl who has been inspired by vintage style lately. The combination of the top with lace neckline, mullet skirt, vintage lace shoes makes she look so gentle and lovely. She usually wears dark colors but today she makes a small change by adding a classic thing - a polka dots skirt...aww, isn't it cute ?!??

by the way..must admit that I'm the biggest fan of mullets.. I seldom wear dress (really, not my style) but when I saw them.. I was like "omg where the hell can I find those beautiful skirts. they look amazing".. I couldn't help falling in love with them.
Here are some of my favorites :x
